NTR 414 - Food, Nutrition & Culture (3-0-3) Prerequisites: NTR 401 and NTR 402 or Permission of Instructor This course covers the social and demographic influence on food-related behaviors of various population groups. The impact of ethnicity, culture and religion on lifestyle, dietary habits, health and disease status of individuals and groups are considered. Emphasis is on the development of nutritional intervention methods and dietary systems considering social, economic and environmental conditions of people.
