PHS 113 - General Physics III (4-2-5) Prerequisite: PHS 112 This course is the third part of a three-quarter sequence of introductory physics. This sequence is algebra-based and geared for the students seeking admission into medical, dental, veterinary, nursing, pharmacy and other health-related fields. However, students who want to major in physics and engineering curriculum may need to take calculus based introductory physics sequence. Topics discussed in this course include: Light, Theory of Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics. This course consists of four hours of lecture and a two hour lab per week.
