ENG 213 - Studies in Science Fiction and Fantasy
(5-0-5)
Prerequisite: ENG 101
This course is an examination of science fiction and fantasy literature, along with its major characteristics, tropes, and themes. Students will write short essays and take several exams; in class, students will participate in discussions of the various types of science fiction and fantasy fiction, the literary aspects of the works and the social issues raised by those works.
