TECH 5875 - Epic Technique

(1-2-2)
Prerequisite: CLIN 3609
EPIC is a technology-based upper cervical technique that encourages co-managing patient cases with full spine techniques. It has an exceptional training system to quickly bring students to a level of proficiency that will equip them to have notable, positive patient outcomes, with a focus on the science and technology of chiropractic care. Additionally, EPIC provides a data-based quality control system to ensure students and doctors are following the protocols and achieving the same duplicatable results. The founder of EPIC Dr. Stan Pierce, Jr., is a Life University ‘99 alumni and the lead instructor for the EPIC technique. Dr. Pierce will personally instruct the course until the time an on-campus instructor can be trained as a suitable replacement

This is an introductory course to the Epic Technique. The basic concepts and protocols of neurovascular implications, biomechanics, patient care, use of equipment and research will be discussed.
