Student interns begin to provide care for outpatients while continuing in their development of clinical competency through a variety of patient care encounters. The clinic faculty doctors take primary responsibility for the management of patient care and student intern clinical education. Interns continue to be assessed consistently by faculty clinicians on all aspects of patient care.
