Student interns provide care for outpatients in a licensed field doctor’s office while continuing in their development of clinical competency through a variety of patient care encounters. The student intern may utilize all techniques and diagnostic tools from the core curriculum. The field doctors provide supervision and feedback for student interns allowing them to demonstrate entry practice level primary patient care. Student interns demonstrate their clinical competency, adjusting skills, and case management abilities. Interns continue to be assessed consistently by field doctors on all aspects of patient care. Students demonstrate the skills to build and develop a successful practice. Student interns are in their final stage of preparation to independently enter the practice of chiropractic.
