Policy Title
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra Recordings Retention Policy
Policy Statement
Due to the increasing volume of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BCU) recordings and vendor limits on the amount of storage allocated for the recordings, LIFE University will retain BCU recordings for two full quarters following the quarter in which the recording took place. At the end of retention period, the institution will permanently delete the recordings.
Procedure(s)
During Week 7 of each quarter, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will email faculty and staff to inform them of the planned deletion of BCU recordings and to provide instructions on how users may retain BCU recordings they wish to reuse.
On the Monday immediately following Week 11, IT will delete the BCU recordings scheduled for deletion.
