Policy Title
DCP Progression Policy
Policy Statement
In accordance with the Council on Chiropractic Education Policy 56 which states that at least 70% of entering students must complete the Doctor of Chiropractic Program within 150% of the time normally designated for completion of the degree, each student enrolled in the DCP will be required to successfully complete an average of 18 credits per quarter in residence which will be checked in 4 quarter increments.
Procedure(s)
Every College of Chiropractic student who has completed 4, 8, and 12 quarters in residence will be audited by a Specialized Professional Advisor (SPA) to determine if they have successfully completed the average number of credit hours attempted per quarters in residence in the DCP.
Credit hours required for successful completion are:
-
72 credit hours after 4 quarters in residence
-
144 credit hours after 8 quarters in residence
-
216 credit hours after 12 quarters in residence
Any student that is found in non-compliance with the policy will be placed on an Academic Performance Contract, receive 4 quarter degree plan, and required to meet with a SPA until they are back on track for completion.
