Policy Title

Pre-DC Financial Aid Policy

Policy Statement

Students who are intending to enter the Life University DCP have options regarding how to apply and achieve admission to the program. These options have various financial implications, which you must discuss with your enrollment specialist. Applicants and students are strongly encouraged to discuss eligibility for Title IV funds (grants and loans) with their assigned Financial Aid Counselor.

Option One: If the required coursework is 6 or more quarter credit hours to enter (acceptance into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program), the student may be eligible for Pre-DC admission and pre-DC financial aid. This aid may be awarded over 1-4 quarters (but no more than 4 quarters) depending on course load, timing of course sequencing and offerings.

Option Two: If the required coursework to enter (acceptance into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program) is less than 6-quarter credit hours, the student may declare their intent to pursue an undergraduate degree and apply for appropriate Title IV funds. All coursework must be required for the chosen degree.

Option Three: If the required coursework to enter (acceptance into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program) is less than 6-quarter credit hours, the student may remain a DC applicant and pay out of pocket, as Federal Title IV funds are not available.

Procedure(s)
