College of Chiropractic Academic Standing Policy
Policy Statement
Good Standing Requirements:
In order to maintain Good Standing students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 and a completion rate of equal to or greater than 70%.
Academic Warning (AW):
Students who meet any of the following criteria will be placed on Academic Warning:

Cumulative GPA of 2.0-2.49
-
Less than a 70% completion rate
-
Have failed 2 or more courses in one quarter
-
Have failed the same course two times
-
Registered for less than 18 credits per quarter
Academic Probation (AP):
Students will be placed on Academic Probation if the cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 if they have failed the same course three times OR noncompliance of the DCP Progression Policy.
Academic Dismissal (AD):
A student will be dismissed from the program if he/she fails to meet conditions of the Academic Performance Contract (APC).
Procedure(s)
Academic Warning: Students who are placed on academic warning must follow the following requirements:

Required to register for the number of credit hours determined in accordance with the DCP Progression Policy

Retake failed course(s) the next quarter

Must meet with assigned academic advisor

Recommended academic support
Academic Probation: Students who are placed on Academic Probation must follow the below requirements:

Will be placed on Academic Performance Contract (APC)

Will be limited in the amount of credit hours they can register for determined by GPA range
-
> 1.95 = 20-23 credit hours
-
1.5 - 1.95 = 16-19 credit hours
-
< 1.5 = 12-15 credit hours
-
Must retake failed course(s) the next quarter

Required to have academic advisement with a Specialized Professional Advisor (SPA) or an AAT Coordinator (if applicable)
