BIO 446 - Neurophysiology (3-2-4)
Pre-requisite: BIO 444
This online course builds upon the neuroanatomical foundation taught in Neuroanatomy and creates a deeper understanding of the content through an interactive online learning platform. This course will cover the physiology of the central and peripheral nervous systems with an emphasis on the cellular and molecular basis of signal transmission in the brain, neurodevelopment, learning, and pathological anomalies associated with the neural system. This course includes illustrated lecture videos, engaging laboratory assignments, interactive discussion boards, and assessments to help students expand their fundamental understanding of the nervous system. By the end of this course, students will have a better understanding of neurophysiology which will prepare them to succeed in the third part of this course series, neuropharmacology.
