CPSY 6100 - Business, Ethics and Cultural Issues in Coaching (5-0-5)
This course introduces ethics as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE/BCC). It includes an in-depth exploration of ethical reasoning and decision-making, and standards of ethical practice in coaching, including cultural (DEI – diversity, equity and inclusion) issues. Students will be encouraged to think about themselves as professionals in relation to these codes and standards and to begin working on a personal model for recognizing and resolving ethical and professional concerns that will support and sustain an effective coaching practice.
Students will also explore multicultural issues from a contextual model grounded in evidence-based theory and application.
