CIM 206 - Programming I: PythonReplaced CIM-201 Prerequisite: CIM 101
This course is designed to introduce the student to computer programming. Areas of emphasis will include: The Program Development Cycle and its components of Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Debugging and Documentation. Python will be the primary, introductory language for the course. Topics will include Python syntax, variables, selection, and looping structures, building Python methods, Exception Handling, File operations, working with Python built-in data types: Lists, Tuples, Sets, and Dictionaries, and Python Classes, Objects and GUIs.
