CPSY 6650 - Intensive Coach Mentoring & Supervision II (6-0-6)
Prerequisites: MPSY 6000 , MPSY 6100 , MPSY 6500
Part two of this course provides additional intensive Coach Mentoring and Supervision which enables students to work closely with an experienced coach on their practice and equip them for coach certification. The sessions offer a space for the student to receive both individual mentoring and supervision while mastering competencies for certification examinations:
- Coaching is used in the session when the coach mentor explores with the student their vision and perspective of their practice, strengths and areas of development.
- Mentoring is facilitated through feedback and input from the mentor about the student’s quality of coaching as defined by the core coaching competencies, professional certified coach markers and ethics of the International Coach Federation.
As a Level 2 Accredited coach education provider for ICF, and Board Certified Coach Training Provider, the Coaching Psychology Track provides this course to meet 7 of 10 required mentoring hours. [The 3 individual mentoring hours are covered in MPSY 6999]. Combined this prepares students for BCC and PCC-Level Coaching demonstration for graduation and ICF certification. This course is limited to a maximum of 10 participants by ICF standards and incorporates the application of all program knowledge: ethics and regulatory guidelines, coaching knowledge and application, assessment and practice management.
