Doctor of Chiropractic (Research Track)

Students who are interested in or develop an interest in doing research while completing their Doctor of Chiropractic degree can apply to participate in the Doctor of Chiropractic Research Track.
The student will be required to complete an application and submit to the Research Track Advisor. Students are eligible to complete an application after the completion of their first six quarters of the program.
All students accepted for participation must complete a minimum 28 credit hours of research. In addition to the required research classes, other research course hours will be substituted for the following:

I. Minimum of 10 Credit Hours from 18 Electives
II. 12 Credits from the CHPM Business Classes as Follows:
III. Therefore, the Research Track Consists of the Following:
IV. Additional Requirements for Research Track Students (16 Credit Hours)
Total Credits for DCP Research Track; Minimum 28 Credit Hours
Research Track students may discontinue taking assembly when they begin the Research Track
Upon acceptance into the Research Track, a research track graduation plan will be created, approved and signed before the plan is forwarded to the official files stored in the Registrar’s Office. Part of the plan will include courses (other than Research courses) that can be taken as independent study so that additional release time in each quarter is available for pursuing research.
