Purpose: To provide transfer students who are seeking an UG degree and have been awarded an associate or a bachelor’s degree the equivalency of Life University’s General Education Core Curriculum. To also provide students having earned an Associate degree at Life University and are seeking an UG degree the equivalency of Life University’s General Education Core Curriculum.

CGUS/COE Transfer Policy Regarding Associate & Bachelor Degree and General Education Core Requirements Policy

 

Policy Statement


Students transferring to Life University having earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent, with a minimum of 60 semester credit hours or 90 quarter credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 will enter as a junior and automatically meet the general education core requirements. Students earning an Associate’s degree at Life University and accepted into a bachelor’s degree program at the University will automatically meet the general education core requirements of the bachelor’s degree.

Students transferring to Life University with an earned bachelor’s degree will also automatically meet the general education core requirements of the bachelor’s degree they are seeking at Life University.

Students are not automatically exempted from General Education courses that are pre-requisites for upper-level courses in the various majors. Approval from the Assistant Dean of the area to waive the pre-requisites will be required.
