Unofficial Withdrawal Policy
Policy Statement
Federal financial aid recipients who receive all “Fs” in courses for a quarter will be reviewed to determine whether they unofficially withdrew from the University. Students who are confirmed to have abandoned classes will be considered to have unofficially withdrawn from the University as of the midpoint of the quarter or based on the last day of academic attendance reported by their instructor.
Such students will be subject to the federal Return of Title IV Funds calculation and, as a result, may have a balance with the University. For students who are determined to have abandoned classes, grades of “F” will be replaced with grades of “W.”
Procedure(s)
All instructors will be contacted to confirm if the grades were earned or if the students stopped attending classes before the end of the quarter.
