POLICY TITLE
Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) Degree to Undergraduate (UG) Degree Completion Policy
POLICY STATEMENT
Graduates from the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Life University may apply completed DC courses to the undergraduate college, within six (6) years of graduation, to be used to obtain a conferred undergraduate degree.
PROCEDURE(S)
Undergraduate degree completion may be requested through the Registrar’s Office at time of graduation. If the graduate did not request their undergraduate degree completion at time of graduation, they have up to six (6) calendar years to request the completion. If it has been more than six (6) years since graduation, the completion request will be denied.
For graduates who are within the six (6) calendar year window:
- Graduates of Life University’s Doctor of Chiropractic program may transfer down certain courses to complete the requirements for their undergraduate degree in Biology or Anatomy & Physiology.
- Graduates who entered Life University under the Pre-DC program are eligible to apply those courses toward an undergraduate degree in Biology or Anatomy & Physiology.
- Graduates who entered the Chiropractic program using their best 135 credit hours from another institution may transfer in their courses for consideration toward an undergraduate degree in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, or Interdisciplinary Studies.
- Graduates who entered the Chiropractic program with an earned bachelor’s degree, regardless of institution, may transfer those courses toward consideration for an additional bachelor’s degree in Biology or Anatomy & Physiology.
Alumni who did not request an undergraduate degree completion at the time of graduation from the Doctor of Chiropractic program, must reapply to the Undergraduate College, be admitted, reactivated, and register for at least one academic course in the same quarter in which they wish to receive their completed undergraduate degree..
