ANAT 8005 - Visceral Gross Anatomy
(2-0-2)
Prerequisite: CPAP 8106
This course in an in-depth regional study of the embryology, histology, anatomy, and physiology of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and perineum based on lectures and laboratory dissections. Emphasis is placed on the on the peripheral nerve pathways and interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels in tissues, organs, and organ systems. This course is designed to study the development of the human body from earliest embryonic to fetal stages. tissues, organs, and organ systems ae emphasized. Teratology and genetic principles are included.
