MSHS 6390 - Clinical Exercise Physiology (3-0-3)
Pre-requisite: MSHS 6120
Co-requisite: MSHS 6390L
The course will examine clinical populations (cardiopulmonary, metabolic, hypertension, musculoskeletal, immunological, cancer, and neurological conditions). This course will determine how exercise is utilized as an intervention in the prevention and management of chronic disease. Specific topics addressed include acute and chronic responses to exercise for those clients with chronic disease, pathophysiology of disease processes, clinical assessment of disease severity, pharmacology, and rehabilitation practices.
