MBUS 6510 - Operations Research and Quality in Health Care

Operations research provides methods and techniques to manage resources in a planned and structured way to achieve a specific goal. Quality in health care encompasses but is not limited to aspects of patient safety, effective communication, surgical technique, medication adherence, effective health system management, and quality information systems. Healthcare operations and strategies, concepts, and methods that can improve the delivery of Healthcare by increasing efficiency and effectiveness are covered.. This course will introduce students to the field of quality healthcare, cover the basics of operation research, and develop methods of quality improvement in Healthcare.
