ATW 112 - Karate (0-2-1) This course will introduce the basic principles of Okinawan Karate. The training includes instruction in technical skills, proper form, balance, coordination and control through the repetition of basic techniques and the practice of Kata (formal exercises which combine basic karate techniques). Students will participation and acquire knowledge and skills necessary for participation as a physical fitness activity. Students are permitted to use up to four credit hours of “activity coursework,” toward their degree completion within the general elective category.
