ENV 101 - An Introduction to Meteorology and Weather (5-0-5) This course is designed to provide an introduction to the study of weather. The specific principles behind a variety of everyday topics will be explained, including weather patterns, cloud formations and hurricane development. Topics will include: an introduction to the Earth’s atmosphere, seasonal and daily temperature variability, atmospheric moisture and condensation, cloud formation, precipitation process, wind circulation, air masses and fronts, thunderstorms and hurricane development.
*Please note that effective Winter 2017, the credit hours for this course will total 3 credit hours (See Catalog Addenda ).
